Join our dedicated Home and Community Services team at St Basil's Homes NSW/ACT, where you'll support older Australians to remain independent and continue living safely and comfortably in their own homes. Working across Sydney's metropolitan suburbs, you'll be part of a supportive and caring environment that values compassion, respect and person-centred care.
We are currently seeking Community Support Workers with availability Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 5:00pm.
About the Role
As a Community Support Worker, you will play an important role in supporting the health, wellbeing and independence of our clients through the delivery of high-quality home and community care services.
Working independently while supported by our experienced Home Care team, you will assist clients with personal care, domestic assistance, social support and community access. You will help clients maintain their independence, remain connected to their community and enjoy an enhanced quality of life while continuing to live in their own homes.
Our Community Support Workers are employed under the St Basil's NSW/ACT Enterprise Agreement 2024, earning up to $37.22 per hour.
About You
You are passionate about supporting older people to live independently and understand the importance of delivering care that is respectful, compassionate and person-centred.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Community Services or a related qualification (or willingness to obtain through our traineeship program)
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Insured and registered motor vehicle
- Willingness to transport clients if required
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience working in Home Care, Community Services, Aged Care or Disability Support
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to provide high-quality personal care and exceptional customer service
- Compassion, empathy and a genuine desire to help others
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the wider team
- Greek speaking skills highly regarded but not essential
- Australian work rights
