- Will oversee two sites (Lower Plenty & Mulgrave)
- Flexibility of working across the two sites
Araluen is seeking a Practice Leader to join our home and living team.

Position Purpose
Practice Leaders provide high-level operational leadership to ensure the delivery of person-centred, rights-based services that promote independence, empowerment, and inclusion for participants. As a Practice Leader, you will guide, mentor, and support staff to deliver high-quality, proactive care aligned with best practices. You will play a key role in staff development, ensuring practices reflect Active Support, reflective learning, and skill-building that enhances participant outcomes.

This role will be overseeing two sites and the core hours would be Monday to Friday rotating roster hours will be between 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. There is a requirement to be on a roster for afterhours emergency support for Home & Living. Salary and employment conditions will be determined in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS Award), Social and Community Services Stream, Level 4 and will be commensurate with the successful candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and demonstrated competencies.

Skills And Experiences
About You
You are an experienced and confident people leader with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams within disability, community services, supported independent living, health, aged care, or a related sector. You are passionate about supporting people with disability, driving positive outcomes, and developing capable, accountable and engaged teams.
Please note: Demonstrated people leadership experience is an essential requirement for this role. Applications that do not clearly demonstrate team leadership experience will not be considered.
Essential Requirements
You must have:
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing diverse teams in a disability, community services, aged care, health, or similar environment.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, performance manage, and develop team members to achieve quality service outcomes.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of the NDIS Practice Standards, particularly within Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Active Support environments.
- Experience managing operational performance, compliance obligations, quality systems, and service delivery outcomes.
- A track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high service standards.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution capabilities.
- A values-driven leadership style that promotes accountability, inclusion, collaboration, and person-centred practice.
Highly Desirable
- Formal leadership or management qualifications.
- Experience overseeing multiple sites, programs, or service areas.
- Understanding of contemporary disability support practices and positive behaviour support frameworks.
