Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Senior Pharmaceutical Officer to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act and Regulation, including undertaking compliance and enforcement activities toward the objective of protecting public health and safety.
- Prepare and issue authorities to prescribe and/or supply medicines and poisons under the provisions of the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods legislation in accord with Quality Regulatory Services timelines.
- Work cooperatively within and across teams and actively support others to achieve Branch objectives effectively and efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate knowledge of the diverse and complex medicines regulatory framework, and relationships with other regulatory agencies, including in relation to new approaches and initiatives.
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in a Health related discipline including pharmacology and pharmaceutics and the application of this knowledge in recent clinical practice. Qualifications may include a Bachelor of Pharmacy, registration with AHPRA as a pharmacist, or ability to demonstrate similar experience.
- High level of organisation to balance workload, priorities and meeting deadlines.
- The officer must be able to work cooperatively and independently with minimal supervision.
