About the Role

Tanuki Restaurant is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to lead its front-of-house operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily service, managing staff, and ensuring a consistently high standard of customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and control the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficiency and service quality;
  • Lead, supervise, and train front-of-house staff, including rostering and performance management;
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times;
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner;
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow;
  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and overall service coordination;
  • Monitor operational costs, including labour and stock usage;
  • Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining appropriate stock levels;
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations;
  • Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the venue in line with business standards;
  • Contribute to improving operational procedures and overall business performance.
About You
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar supervisory role;
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment;
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience with POS systems and staff rostering;
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
