We are seeking an experienced Marine Supervisor to lead our Bed Levelling, Dredging and Survey vessel team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising marine crews, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high operational standard.
You will:
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of bed levelling, dredging, and survey vessels.
- Lead and mentor commercial vessel crews, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Coordinate work schedules and operational priorities.
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and port users to ensure efficient delivery of marine services.
- Participate in incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety meetings.
Operationally focused, effective and great with people: here’s who we’re looking for.
- Demonstrated experience supervising commercial vessel crews in a safe and productive operational environment.
- Strong operational knowledge with the ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate marine activities while maintaining compliance and service delivery standards.
- Master <24 m Certificate of Competency and MED 3 qualification preferred, together with relevant high-risk work licences and experience.
- Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across crews and the broader business.
- A proactive problem solver who can make sound operational decisions, manage competing priorities and drive continuous improvement.
- Good understanding of maritime legislation, Safety Management Systems (SMS) and risk management practices, with a demonstrated safety-first mindset.
- Experience in bed levelling and/or dredging operations will be highly regarded.
