You can help improve lives and create a positive impact in your community It’s an opportunity to enhance your skills & knowledge & gain new experiences You’ll be helping Red Cross to support vulnerable people across Australia The program    Trauma Teddy is the cuddly face of Australia Red Cross Community Services and Emergency Services.  Knitted by Red Cross volunteers/supporters all over Australia, these woolen teddies are given freely to children and adults needing comfort or gentle distraction during traumatic events.  The Trauma Teddies are delivered to local hospital wards, school sick bays, fire stations, ambulances, police stations and emergency centres.   The opportunity    Red Cross Trauma Teddy Knitters will knit cuddly teddy bears according to Red Cross safety specifications and guidelines. They will receive ongoing support to knit the teddies if required.          The impact    As a Trauma Teddy Knitter, you’ll be contributing with your excellent knitting skills to knit cuddly teddies with safe and clean materials following the Red Cross safety specifications, guidelines and pattern which will be delivered to vulnerable children and adults to comfort them, ultimately impacting on their well-being.       Further information  To find out more about this opportunity please email lpoppleton@redcross.org.au Thank you for considering volunteering at Red Cross.
