Pay: APS5 - $88,834 - $96,848 + 15.4% super; APS6 - $99,734 to $111,701 + 15.4% super
Work type: Full-time
Work arrangement: Hybrid, with specific arrangements agreed with your supervisor on a case-by-case basis
Clearance: Must hold a current Baseline clearance or above

About the Role
Our Federal Government client is building capability across a national regulatory investigations function.

At APS5, you will support investigations by gathering and analysing documentary, financial and intelligence information.
At APS6, you will take greater ownership of complex, risk-based investigations and provide guidance to junior staff.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Gather and analyse financial, documentary and intelligence information.
  • Identify gaps, risks and indicators of potential non-compliance.
  • Use data and intelligence tools to identify higher-risk behaviours or entities.
  • Support targeted regulatory and compliance action.
  • Prepare clear briefs, reports and correspondence for decision-makers.
  • At APS6, lead more complex investigative work under limited direction.
  • At APS6, provide guidance and support to junior staff.
What You Bring (Essential Criteria)
  • You've worked in investigations, regulatory compliance or closely related evidence-based work.
  • You can analyse complex information and identify risks or potential non-compliance.
  • You can explain what you personally investigated, analysed and produced.
  • You write clear, defensible briefs, reports or advice.
  • You can manage accurate work across competing priorities.
  • APS6 applicants can demonstrate greater autonomy and guidance of junior staff.
  • You're an Australian citizen.
  • You must hold a current Baseline clearance or above.
Nice to Have (Desirable Criteria)
  • Certificate IV in Government Investigations.
  • Regulatory, financial or intelligence-led investigation experience.
  • Electoral regulation, financial disclosure or related Commonwealth experience.
