Lead a great kitchen team without giving up your weekends.

We’re looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the food service operation of a large residential aged care facility in Croydon.

This is a great opportunity for a Chef who enjoys leading people, running a kitchen and making a real difference to residents' daily experience.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and support a team of cooks and food services staff
• Manage rostering, performance and day-to-day kitchen operations
• Oversee nutritious, high-quality meals for residents
• Manage dietary requirements and texture-modified meals
• Work closely with care teams to support residents' nutritional needs
• Respond to resident feedback and resolve food-related concerns
• Maintain high standards across food safety, hygiene and presentation

What we're looking for
You’ll be a confident kitchen leader with:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• Experience leading a busy, high-volume kitchen
• Strong people management and rostering skills
• Experience managing dietary requirements and bulk food production
• The confidence to handle feedback, complaints and challenging conversations
• A genuine focus on quality and the resident experience
• Full Australian working rights

Aged care experience is highly regarded, but not essential. We’re also keen to hear from experienced Chefs from high-volume hospitality, healthcare, retirement living or commercial kitchen environments.
