Seeking a Field Assistant in South West WA to Join a Busy Exploration Team

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Field Assistant to join a busy exploration team supporting seasonal drilling activities at a regional exploration project in South-West Western Australia. This is a temporary position ideally suited to someone looking to gain hands-on experience within the mining and exploration industry.

Your new role
As a Field Assistant, you will provide practical support to the geology team during the drilling season, assisting with a range of field-based activities.
Responsibilities include:

• Supporting exploration and drilling programs
• Assisting geologists with sample collection and handling
• Maintaining accurate records and field documentation
• Preparing, organising and transporting equipment and supplies
• General field and site housekeeping duties
• Working safely and following all site procedures
• Assisting with day-to-day activities as required by the geology team

This is a casual position operating Monday to Friday during the exploration season, with hours varying depending on operational requirements.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you will ideally have

• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• A commitment to safety and following procedures
• Reliability and the ability to commit for the duration of the season
• A current driving licence
