Your new role

  • Lead the enhancement and governance of a large fixed asset register within a complex infrastructure environment
  • Manage asset accounting activities including capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, and componentisation
  • Drive asset data quality improvements, reconciliation activities, and system integration projects
  • Collaborate with engineers, asset managers, and finance teams to deliver project outcomes and improve asset management processes
  • Provide technical advice on asset accounting, data governance, and compliance requirements
  • Support physical asset verification and site inspections as required

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in fixed asset accounting and asset register management within a complex environment
  • Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, including property, plant, and equipment accounting
  • Experience with asset register improvement, data migration, or ERP projects
  • Advanced analytical skills, high attention to detail, and strong Excel capability
  • CPA/CA qualification or progress towards completion will be highly regarded
  • Experience with TechnologyOne, ESRI, ports, utilities, or infrastructure organisations is advantageous
