An exciting opportunity is available for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-established organisation located near Berrimah. This temporary full-time assignment offers the chance to work closely with a finance team, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their accounting career in a supportive environment.Working across two smaller business entities, you will gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities while contributing to the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

About the RoleReporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide support across a variety of accounting and finance functions, including:

• Payment reconciliations and account reconciliations
• Processing and managing intercompany transactions
• Maintaining expense accounts and financial records
• Assisting with month-end procedures, including journal entries
• Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Assisting with end-to-end accounting processes across multiple entities
• Ensuring accurate financial data and documentation is maintained
• Supporting the wider finance team with general accounting and administrative duties

About You:

• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant, Bookkeeper, Accounts Officer, or similar finance position
• A sound understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Experience with reconciliations, journals, and month-end activities
• Exposure to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• The ability to work independently while also collaborating with a broader finance team
• Relevant accounting qualifications or studies in progress desirable but not essential
