Your new company
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a large and complex organisation undergoing significant capital investment and project activity. This is a hands-on business partnering role where you will work closely with operational and project stakeholders to provide financial insight, reporting, forecasting and commercial support across a diverse capital program. Supporting key decision-makers, you will play an integral role in ensuring projects are effectively monitored, financial performance is understood, and investment decisions are supported by robust analysis.
Your new role
As a trusted finance partner, you will:

  • Partner with project and operational leaders to provide financial guidance and commercial insights.
  • Lead capital expenditure reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Monitor project performance and provide meaningful analysis on costs, risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, variance analysis and project performance reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support investment decisions and strategic planning.
  • Support annual budgeting and reforecasting processes across multiple project streams.
  • Manage project cash flow forecasting and long-term capital planning.
  • Ensure financial data integrity across project and asset reporting processes.
  • Support month-end accounting activities, reconciliations and asset capitalisation processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and financial system enhancements.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and influencing business outcomes.You will ideally possess:

  • Experience in a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant, Commercial Analyst, FP&A or similar role.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis experience.
  • Exposure to capital projects, infrastructure programs or asset-intensive environments.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance audiences.
  • CA, CPA or CIMA qualification, or be working towards completion.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience supporting major capital expenditure or infrastructure programs.
  • Exposure to Power BI and financial reporting dashboards.
  • Experience working within large ERP systems.
  • Background within infrastructure, aviation, transport, construction, utilities, resources or other capital-intensive industries
