About the Role
Lynas Rare Earths is searching for a high-calibre Emergency Management Professional to drive excellence across our Emergency Response, Pre-Hospital Care, and Security portfolios at our Lynas Kalgoorlie operation.

Working within a unique, highly specialised chemical processing environment, this is not just an operational role—it is a pivotal leadership position. We are seeking a proactive, solutions-focused professional with the career drive and capability to step up, lead the team, and seamlessly cover leadership responsibilities during supervisory leave.

This is a residential Kalgoorlie position. You will work an 8/6 roster, 12 hour day shifts, with occasional night shift coverage during shutdowns, per business requirements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Clinical & Emergency Care: Provide high-quality pre-hospital and emergency care for all on-site injuries and illnesses.
  • On-Scene Command: Function confidently as the On-Scene Commander during any site emergency.
  • Team Development: Proactively recruit, train, coach, and develop our site Emergency Response Team (ERT) members.
  • Operational Readiness: Maintain all pre-hospital facilities, emergency response systems, Poisons Permit obligations, and incident management equipment to audit-ready standards.
  • Security & Compliance: Facilitate, monitor, and report on site access, security infrastructure, and fitness-for-work management (including Fatigue and Drug & Alcohol testing).

Required Qualifications & Licences

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance) (HLT41120) – Essential
  • Minimum Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue (RII30719) – Essential
  • Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing (HLPAT005) – Essential
  • Residential Status: Must reside locally, or be fully willing to relocate permanently, within the Goldfields region.
  • Driver's Licence: Minimum WA unencumbered C Class licence or above.
  • Site Compliance: Full Australian working rights and ability to maintain a clean-shaven face to pass respirator fit testing (as per AS 1715:2009).
  • Desirable: Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations (CPP20218) and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).

Your Skills & Experience

  • Sector Experience: Proven background in emergency pre-hospital care and emergency response leadership within the resources, heavy industrial, construction, or Public Safety sectors.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence behaviors and negotiate safety outcomes across everyone from frontline workers to senior managers.
  • Crisis Composure: A proven track record of maintaining absolute composure and clear-headedness under high-pressure, stressful situations.
