Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a collaborative and close-knit team. This is an organisation that genuinely values its people, promotes from within and fosters a positive, hands-on approach to site safety.

Your new role
Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and site teams, you will play a key role in driving a proactive safety culture across multiple construction projects. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys being out on site, building relationships and influencing positive safety outcomes.

  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
  • Review and manage SWMS, safety plans and compliance documentation.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Facilitate toolbox talks, site inductions and safety training.
  • Provide practical guidance and mentoring to site teams and subcontractors.
  • Monitor compliance with WHS legislation and company policies.
  • Assist in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with project teams to ensure health, safety and wellbeing remain a key project focus.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within the Australian construction industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working on residential, mixed-use, apartment or commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and construction safety requirements.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to safety management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum requirement).
  • Ability to build trust and influence positive safety behaviours across all levels of a project.
