Your new company
Our client is a rapidly growing commercial construction and maintenance business delivering projects across hospitality, QSR, retail, education, and commercial sectors throughout Australia. This is a highly visible role where you will play a key part in shaping the company's growth strategy while working closely with senior leadership. The successful candidate will be a genuine hunter who can leverage existing relationships, generate new opportunities, and convert pipeline into revenue.
Your new role

  • Develop and execute a national business development strategy.
  • Identify and secure new project opportunities across hospitality, QSR, retail, education, and commercial sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, consultants, project managers, franchise groups, and key decision makers.
  • Generate opportunities through an existing network while proactively creating new leads.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to project award.
  • Maintain a structured CRM pipeline with clear activity and forecasting metrics.
  • Work closely with internal operational teams to ensure a seamless handover of awarded projects.
  • Attend client meetings, networking events, industry functions, and interstate site visits.
  • Monitor market activity, competitor movements, and emerging opportunities.
  • Contribute to the ongoing growth and market positioning of the brand nationally.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven business development experience within commercial construction, fit-out, refurbishment, facilities management, or a closely related industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of winning new business and generating revenue through your own network.
  • Strong industry relationships with developers, consultants, property groups, franchise operators, or end users.
  • Experience managing long sales cycles and project-based opportunities.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to identify and qualify opportunities effectively.
  • Highly organised with strong sales discipline and activity management.
  • Confident presenting to senior stakeholders and decision makers.Willingness and ability to travel interstate regularly.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
