Regional Western Australia (WA) offers a mix of regional communities where access to specialist mental health services can be more limited than in metropolitan areas. This role supports older adults in the community, providing assessment, treatment, and ongoing psychiatric care to patients with complex and age-related mental health needs. The position is well suited to a Consultant Psychiatrist who enjoys community-based practice and working closely with multidisciplinary teams. The regional setting also provides an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to improving access to specialist old-age psychiatry services.
