An immediate opportunity has become available for an experienced Boilermaker to join a major power station shutdown based in Lithgow, NSW. This is a well-paid, fast-paced role suited to tradespeople with a strong shutdown/outage background looking for consistent hours through to the end of the year.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication, installation, and repair of boiler components, pressure parts, and associated plant equipment
  • Cutting, welding, and fitting steel plate, pipework, and structural components to engineering specifications
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Carrying out inspections, fault-finding, and repairs on boiler and associated equipment
  • Working safely within a high-pressure shutdown environment, meeting strict deadlines
  • Liaising with supervisors, leading hands, and other trades to ensure work is completed to schedule
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, including JSAs, permits, and quality records
  • Adhering to all site safety procedures and PPE requirements

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification as a Boilermaker (Cert III Engineering – Fabrication)
  • Previous experience on power station or industrial shutdowns highly regarded
  • Current construction induction (White Card)
  • Must be able to make your own way to Lithgow (own vehicle required)
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
