Our Client, Sandhu & Chouhan Produce is seeking an experienced and motivated Horticulture Farm Manager to join our established horticultural farming operation in Bucca, NSW.

Tasks Include:

· Plan and coordinate the cultivation and harvesting of blueberries, raspberries and cucumbers according to seasonal conditions and production requirements.

· Plan planting schedules and select suitable varieties to achieve consistent crop quality and yield.

· Oversee crop establishment, propagation, planting and transplanting activities.

· Monitor crop health and coordinate pruning, de-budding, training and other plant maintenance activities.

· Manage irrigation and fertigation programs to ensure crops receive appropriate water and nutrients throughout the growing cycle.

· Monitor crops for pests, diseases and weeds and coordinate appropriate treatment and control measures.

· Oversee day-to-day farm operations, including crop maintenance, harvesting, grading, packing and storage of produce.

· Monitor soil and growing conditions and implement appropriate measures to maintain crop health and productivity.

· Coordinate the handling, storage and dispatch of harvested produce to maintain quality and meet supply requirements.

· Oversee the maintenance and operation of farm infrastructure and equipment, including irrigation systems, greenhouses, machinery and storage facilities.

· Maintain accurate records of planting, crop treatments, spray programs, production volumes and crop yields.

· Plan and monitor farm operating requirements, including labour, equipment and agricultural inputs.

· Supervise and coordinate farm workers and contractors during planting, crop maintenance and harvesting activities.

· Implement measures to manage seasonal and environmental risks affecting crop production.

· Ensure farm activities comply with workplace health and safety requirements, including the safe use of chemicals, machinery and agricultural equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Have at least relevant AQF Cert III or Cert IV qualifications and Have 2 Years of working experience in a similar role in a farm setting. or equivalent or 3 years of employment experience with formal training OR 5 years of experience without formal training.

· Strong understanding of agricultural production processes.

· Attention to detail and quick decision-making to address quality issues, equipment failures, and operational challenges.

· Proficiency in quality control and adherence to standards.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

· Ability to coordinate with various departments and ensure compliance with regulations.

· Possess a keen eye for detail to oversee product quality.

· Strong organizational skills are also essential for managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
