About the Role

Smith & Co is recruiting Civil Estimators and Senior Estimators for established civil contractors delivering major infrastructure projects across Southeast Queensland and regional locations.

With strong forward workloads and an active pipeline of tenders, these opportunities offer exposure to TMR roadworks, highways, water infrastructure, FRP works, bulk earthworks, piling, subdivisions and major civil construction projects.

You'll work across the full tender lifecycle, from reviewing drawings and completing quantity take-offs through to subcontractor pricing, construction methodologies, value engineering and final tender submissions.

Multiple positions are available, giving you the flexibility to pursue Brisbane and SEQ-based projects, FIFO opportunities or relocation to regional Queensland depending on your experience and career goals.

• $180K–$220K + Super + Company Vehicle, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and competitive tenders for major civil projects
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes and tender documentation
• Complete quantity take-offs and obtain subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Develop methodologies, programs, value engineering and pricing strategies
• Collaborate with delivery teams through tender handover and project award

What You’ll Bring

• Experience as a Civil Estimator or Senior Estimator
• Exposure to Roads, TMR, Water, FRP, Earthworks, Piling or Infrastructure
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods and project delivery
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and contract scopes
• Commercially focused approach with strong stakeholder communication skills
