Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Adelaide)

We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Diesel Mechanics who are interested in potential future opportunities. We are looking to connect with trade-qualified mechanics with experience in diesel engines, generators, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance.

What you’ll be doing:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel engines and generator sets
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and control system faults
• Carrying out preventative maintenance and inspections
• Completing engine repairs, component replacements and overhauls
• Fault-finding generator control panels, alternators, fuel and cooling systems
• Completing service reports, maintenance records and job documentation
• Responding to breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required
• Maintaining tools, equipment and workshop areas
• Liaising with customers and providing technical support
• Ensuring work is completed in line with safety and quality requirements

What you’ll need:

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent
• Experience working with diesel engines and generators
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience with Perkins diesel engines and/or FG Wilson generators
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current driver’s licence
