Accountant Needed, Bendigo Based, 2 Days Per Week, Gov, $67PH+ Super

A respected regional organisation is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on a part time basis. This position is offered at approximately 0.4 FTE (2 days per week), with the potential for additional hours if required.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys a broad role combining management accounting, budgeting, reporting, payroll oversight and business partnering
You will be responsible for the following duties:

• Supporting month end financial processes, analysis and reporting
• Preparing and reviewing budget forecasts and maintaining budget models
• Analysing actual expenditure against budgets and providing insights to management
• Overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes
• Reviewing project financial reports, journals and acquittals
• Maintaining financial data and budgets within TechnologyOne
• Providing oversight of payroll processes and reviewing fortnightly payroll runs
• Assisting with audit preparation, financial reporting improvements and system enhancements
• Supporting staff with finance related reporting, systems and process queries
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations

What you'll need to succeed

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• CA or CPA qualification, or progress towards completion, will be highly regarded
• Previous experience in management accounting, budgeting and financial reporting
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience working with TechnologyOne or similar ERP systems
• The ability to work independently and build effective stakeholder relationships
