Laundry Assistant - Waters

We are currently seeking a Laundry Assistant to fill a vacant position within the team providing support services at Bethanie Waters Aged Care Home located in Port Kennedy.

This role is offered on Part Time basis.

About the role: 

• Ensuring all laundry and linen is laundered correctly, and infection control practices are adhered to
• Sorting and washing linen by wash temperature, colour, degree of soiling, infectious nature, fabric and fibre
• Loading and unloading washing machines and tumble dryers
• Sorting and folding clean and dry linen
• Reporting damage or wear and recommending repairs or replacement

You will also have the opportunity to work in other areas of our hospitality team including Domestic Cleaning or Kitchen Hand.

About you

• Possess a passion for, and previous experience working as a Laundry Assistant ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment
• You bring a “can do” attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of appropriate chemical usage relating to laundry processes
• NDIS worker screening clearance or willingness to apply for one
• Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
