Skills and Experience needed:

• General commercial contracting experience is essential and we are happy to consider exposure to a wide range of industries including: financial services (banking and funds management); consumer, food and retail; energy and resources; government and public sector; construction and infrastructure; education; hotels, leisure and gaming; mining; TMT and transport
• Relevant experience might include experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with suppliers and service providers, in areas such as property, technology, privacy and data, intellectual property, credit, and financing
• M&A experience can be helpful, particularly involvement in the integration of new companies/businesses into existing corporate structures, as well as joint venture experience
• Procurement experience is highly sought after
• Being comfortable providing legal advice relating to competition and consumer law, privacy, product safety, quality and labelling is an advantage for some roles
• For some roles experience in disputes and Investigations eg. litigation, disputes, insolvency/debt recovery, regulatory investigations can also be of use, as well knowledge of employment law
• You must have the ability to hit the ground running, work autonomously and prioritise
• Our clients are looking for lawyers who are happy to be a doer and confident being on the tools, and have the ability to understand and adapt to the needs of a business
• Senior stakeholder management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships externally and internally
• Strong commercial and business acumen
• An excellent client service focus, ethic and commitment
• You have a minimum of 4 years' experience
• You have a current practising certificate
• You have the right to live and work in Australia
