About the Opportunities
I’m currently recruiting for a range of Health & Safety opportunities across the construction sector, from WHS Administration through to WHS Advisor positions.
I’m keen to speak with WHSE professionals with experience working for Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 construction companies, who are looking for their next opportunity to work on major commercial, or high-rise residential projects.
The positions range from head-office WHS administration, through to hands-on, site-based Health & Safety, including single-site, multi-site and project-based environments. There are opportunities available for candidates at different stages of their WHS career, with salaries ranging from $80,000 – $150,000 + Super.
About the Roles
The roles will support and coordinate the day-to-day Health & Safety requirements across construction projects and operational environments, working closely with project teams, subcontractors, employees and management to maintain strong safety standards.
WHS Administration Duties

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the WHS function, ensuring systems, records and documentation are maintained accurately.
  • Maintain WHS registers, databases and compliance records, including training, inductions, incidents, inspections and corrective actions.
  • Assist with WHS reporting, including compiling data, preparing reports and tracking key actions and outstanding items.
  • Coordinate inductions, training and competency records, ensuring documentation remains current.
  • Support the upkeep of WHS policies, procedures, forms and systems.

WHS Coordinator & Advisor Duties

  • Coordinating day-to-day Health and Safety activities across construction sites and projects
  • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of Health and Safety policies, procedures and systems
  • Conducting regular site inspections, safety observations and audits
  • Assisting with incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
  • Supporting risk assessments, SWMS/JSA reviews and hazard management
  • Maintaining Health and Safety registers, records and documentation
  • Assisting with site inductions, toolbox talks and Health and Safety training
  • Providing practical Health and Safety support to project managers, supervisors and employees
  • Monitoring compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation and company requirements
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across Health and Safety

 
Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a similar WHS / HSE role within the construction industry, ideally with experience working on high-rise residential projects, or major commercial projects
  • Experience working within Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3 construction environments highly regarded
  • Cert IV in Health and Safety, or equivalent
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation and compliance requirements
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organisation
  • A practical and hands-on approach to Health and Safety
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with project teams, subcontractors and frontline workers
