We are currently seeking an experienced and trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Ingleburn. This is a permanent full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday on day shift. You’ll be part of a supportive maintenance team responsible for keeping production machinery and equipment operating safely and efficiently.

The Role As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for both preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs across a range of industrial machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance across production equipment.
  • Respond to machinery breakdowns and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults.
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Complete mechanical repairs, servicing and component replacements.
  • Assist with machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
  • Identify potential equipment issues and implement preventative solutions.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Maintain a safe and organised work environment.
  • Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime.

What We're Looking For

  • Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner trade qualification.
  • Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong breakdown and preventative maintenance experience.
  • Excellent mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to confidently use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and a reliable approach to work.

Desirable

  • Forklift licence.
  • Experience working with industrial production machinery.
