About Our Client
This role is with a SME company operating in the distribution industry and is based in Oakleigh.
Job Description
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts to support procurement and supply chain operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock availability aligns with business needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimise stock management processes.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to improve demand planning accuracy.
- Identify and address inventory discrepancies or shortages promptly.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory performance and demand forecasts.
- Support the procurement team in maintaining supplier relationships and order schedules.
- Implement strategies to minimise overstock and reduce waste.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Demand Planner/Inventory Controller should have:
- Experience in demand planning and inventory management within the distribution industry.
- Proficiency in analysing data and using forecasting tools or software.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes.
- Problem-solving skills to address inventory challenges efficiently.
What's on Offer
- Annual salary of AUD 110,000 plus super.
