As a critical member of a SustainHealth Recruitment business, you will work with the SustainHealth team to ensure accurate & timely payment of contractors, whilst also working closely with our customers and internal team, to ensure payroll, bookkeeping, reporting and that our customer relationships run collaboratively and smoothly.
Your role will be critical in ensuring the accurate processing of payroll on a weekly basis as well as the timely payment of invoices, generating sales invoices, and bank reconciliation.
Your main responsibilities will be to work with Contractor Staff and Clients, our Risk and Governance Team, our Finance Team and Sales Mangers, to ensure that all placement details are accurate, are recorded in the payroll system as well as our CRM and that Contractors and Clients have provided all necessary documentation to enable payment. You will be responsible for liaising with clients and candidates to respond within 24 hours to any queries and effectively resolve any matters.
More information about you and the role:
- Verifying / collecting timesheets when required and manual payroll calculations or re calculations of invoices
- Supporting in calculating pay raises, shift payments, and overtime compensations- you will or be willing to learn the healthcare awards that we work with
- To have a solid understanding of Australian healthcare awards and how to apply them on an individual timesheet basis or be open to learning in this area
- Managing payroll-related taxes, such as PAYG and superannuation
- Maintaining casual employees’ records and payroll data including collaborating with management and internal risk team to maintain and update employee data
- Supporting with issuing onboarding forms and related documentation and assisting employees to complete them
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and issues that employees have with timesheets, payslips, and other payroll matters
- Complaints and queries management
- Managing complaints and queries with calm, respect, and confidence
- Assisting with daily accounting tasks, including processing invoices and payments
- Reconciling bank statements
- Providing exceptional customer service to all internal and external stakeholders and customers
- Excellent customer care and people skills, escalating matters as required
- Building relationships with our customers and team to get positive outcomes
- Provide and support the business with generalist administration duties and tasks as requested
Preferred Skills and Requirements:
- Diploma and above in Accounting or Finance with at least 2 years of experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid understanding of payroll principles and practices including relevant taxation and superannuation
- Understanding of how to calculate, interpret and apply the healthcare awards across Aged Care, Nursing and Midwifery (public and private) as well as others
- Positive attitude and manage tasks and time independently
- Expert in Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Office Suite
- Have experience in use of Xero, Expedo, and Job Adder are preferred, however, not necessary
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
