MECHANICAL FITTER

Our client is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a large-scale iron ore operation based at Cape Preston in the Pilbara.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing FIFO work and join an established fixed-plant maintenance team.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will work a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth, consisting of one week of day shift, one week of night shift and one week off.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining, repairing and installing fixed-plant equipment
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and completing preventative and corrective maintenance
• Supporting planned shutdowns and scheduled maintenance
• Working collaboratively with tradespeople and the wider maintenance team
• Following site procedures and maintaining a strong commitment to safety

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter trade certificate
• High Risk Work Licence – Elevated Work Platform (WP)
• Working at Heights certificate
• Confined Space Entry certificate
• Construction White Card
• Valid C Class driver’s licence
• Full Australian working rights
• Ability to remain clean shaven and wear a respirator mask, such as a 3M 7500 or equivalent

DESIRABLE

• High Risk Work Licence – Basic Rigging (RB) or higher
• High Risk Work Licence – Dogging (DG)
• First Aid / CPR
• Previous FIFO or mining experience
