Your new role:

  • Perform administrative, technical and customising tasks in the data environment
  • Control and assist with the data management process, including loading, creating, maintaining, analysing and distributing data
  • Assist in the processing of data, including matching and maintaining specific object data
  • Develop data standards and provide input to strategy for the solution
  • Manage globally controlled master data elements
  • Monitor data quality by undertaking periodic audits
  • Detect data inconsistencies and utilise defined error-handling procedures
  • Resolve data integration issues related to data in their area of expertise
  • Ensure the alignment of business data requirements with the enterprise application
  • Establish and maintain data business rules and security specifications
  • Establish data retention criteria
  • evaluate, define, integrate and organise data coming from multiple operational systems
  • Provide broad data modelling support for project build, test and implementation activities
  • Provide documented data modelling solutions as required, encompassing conceptual, logical and physical models, and database implementation artefacts
  • Ensure all data model designs are reviewed for consistency with existing standards
  • Assist in the development of, and execution of, data quality programmes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure effective and timely implementation of projects
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of improvements and best practice in processes and procedures
  • Draft and contribute to the development of reports, executive briefs, corporate documentation and communications for executive audiences

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Demonstrated experience as a data analyst and ability to demonstrate knowledge/skills transfer
  • Structured Query Language (SQL), and spreadsheet proficiency experience with data warehousing concepts (including working with production data (e.g. DB2) and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) (e.g. Teradata))
  • Demonstrated experience:
  • with data reporting for regular and adhoc operational/management reporting, responding to data requests and facilitating data exchanges (incl. using SAS).
  • with source to target mapping with attention to detail for accurate data extraction and meaningful interpretation of transformation logic.
  • metadata management (including using Aristotle) with a good understanding of data governance principles and compliance with data standards
  • data analysis strong analytical skills are necessary for interpreting complex datasets and delivering actionable insights (including the ability to represent data logically and physically).
