From capacity building and detailed functional assessments to prescribing life-changing equipment and home modifications, your skill and empathy will empower clients to thrive in the spaces they love most.

Responsibilities:
As a Community Occupational Therapist, your role may include:

    • Completing functional assessments in clients’ homes;
    • Recommending and prescribing assistive technology and equipment, such as shower chairs, mobility aids and other supports.
    • Completing home assessments and recommending modifications to improve safety, accessibility and independence.
    • Supporting clients with falls prevention and risk management.
    • Developing individualised strategies to improve functional independence and participation.
    • Supporting clients to develop skills and routines that enable greater participation in home, work and community activities.
    • Providing advice and education to clients, families and carers.
