About the Position
We are excited to welcome a full-time Child and Family Practitioner to our Morayfield Safe Families Team! In this unique role, you'll work alongside children, young people and families impacted by domestic and family violence, helping them build safety, healing and hope for the future. Through trauma-informed, evidence-based practice, you'll support meaningful change while empowering families to strengthen their wellbeing, relationships and resilience.
- Level 5 SCHCADS Award.
- Salary range: $105,578 - $110,360 + Superannuation.
- Full-time, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support safety and recovery by delivering therapeutic, trauma-informed interventions to children, young people and families impacted by domestic and family violence.
- Create meaningful change through comprehensive risk assessments, safety planning and tailored supports that promote wellbeing and resilience.
- Empower families and strengthen relationships by providing practical support, psychoeducation and evidence-informed programs that foster healing and growth.
- Work collaboratively for better outcomes by partnering with families, community services and stakeholders to build coordinated support networks and lasting positive change.

About You
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (allied health, social work, human services), with professional registration (if required) and a membership in a professional association (desirable).
- Safe and Together Training (desired).
- At least 3 years’ experience working with children, young people and their families who have been impacted by trauma or have experienced abuse and neglect, or more than five years’ experience working in similar roles.
- Demonstrated specialist skills in working in family and domestic violence particularly working both with parents who use violence, and those experiencing violence.
- Eligibility to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required), including holding or obtaining required checks (Working with Children Check or professional exemption).
- Current driver’s licence.
