Mount Isa Mining Supplies is a trusted supplier of tools, products and consumables to mining, trade and industrial customers across the region.

Based in Healy, we’re part of the Building & Industrial Supplies Group (BISG), backed by Metal Manufactures Pty Limited (MMPL), a privately owned industrial group with over 500 outlets nationwide. You’ll have the backing of a national network with a local branch feel.

About the Role

Enjoy dealing with customers and getting things organised? This role brings both together, with plenty of variety and responsibility. You’ll work closely with the branch manager and take responsibility for customer orders and branch administration.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Serving customers at the counter and handling phone and email enquiries
• Preparing quotes, processing orders and following up outstanding requests
• Ordering stock and checking pricing and availability with suppliers
• Keeping records accurate and handling branch administration
• Working closely with the branch manager to sort out day-to-day issues and keep customer requests moving

About You

• Confident with customers
• Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems
• Able to use your initiative and follow things through
• Experience in mining, trade or industrial supplies, or knowledge of tools, would be great but isn’t essential
• Current driver’s licence and full Australian working rights. Forklift, MR or HR licence would be a bonus
