Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a well-established independent Islamic school in South-Western Sydney to recruit a qualified and values-aligned Maths Teacher for a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a faith-based school community that promotes academic excellence and holistic student development. The successful applicant will be joining a supportive Maths department and will have opportunities to grow professionally within the school.

The school has a strong academic record, with recent senior cohorts achieving 100% HSC completion and ATAR attainment, including Band 5 and Band 6 results, reflecting the school’s commitment to educational excellence across secondary levels.

Maths teacher responsibilities:

• Teach Mathematics to Years 7–12, including Standard (required) and Advanced (preferred)

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the NSW Curriculum and the school’s Islamic ethos

• Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and families

• Contribute to department initiatives and whole-school programs

• Actively participate in the life of the school, including professional development, events, and team collaboration

What we require from a Maths teacher:

• Recognised teaching qualification with a specialisation in Mathematics

• Current NESA registration

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Experience teaching Stage 5–6 Mathematics is highly desirable

• Genuine commitment to supporting the school’s Islamic values and faith-based mission
