About the Role

We're looking for reliable and safety-focused Multi System Operators / Industrial Services Operators to join a team working on a mine site on a 2:1 roster, with the possibility of a 2:2 roster for the right candidate.

This is a hands-on role operating a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment, including Front Lift, Rear Lift, Flatbed, Skip and Vacuum trucks. You'll also operate forklifts and front-end loaders while handling and transporting controlled waste, including liquid chemicals and acids.

Working as part of a safety-focused team, you'll be responsible for ensuring waste is handled, transported and disposed of in accordance with site procedures and regulatory requirements. The role will also involve completing daily pre-starts, maintaining high equipment presentation standards and proactively identifying and reporting hazards, risks and incidents.

We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, good mechanical aptitude and a genuine commitment to safety. Previous mine site experience is essential, with candidates required to have at least 2 years' experience operating on a mine site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a diverse fleet including Front Lift, Rear Lift, Flatbed, Skip and Vacuum trucks
  • Handle, transport and dispose of controlled waste in accordance with site and regulatory requirements
  • Safely handle and transport liquid chemicals, acids and other controlled waste materials
  • Operate forklifts and front-end loaders as required
  • Conduct daily vehicle and equipment pre-start inspections
  • Maintain high standards of vehicle, machinery and equipment presentation
  • Identify and proactively report hazards, risks, incidents and unsafe conditions
  • Follow all site safety, environmental and operational procedures
  • Ensure waste is transported and disposed of safely and in line with relevant requirements
  • Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a strong focus on safety and productivity
  • Carry out general industrial services duties as required

What you will need:

  • HR Licence (Essential)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience operating on a mine site (Essential)
  • Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain one (Essential)
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (Essential)
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and excellent attendance
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to complete a 12-hour shift roster in a remote mine site environment
