One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments is looking to engage an experienced Senior Research Data Analyst to play a key role in enhancing business decision-making with data. Working with stakeholders to understand their needs, conducting research and extracting relevant data, performing analyses, and delivering reports to technical and non-technical audiences. The successful Senior Research Data Analyst will secure a 12 month contract with the view to be extended for a further 12 months and receive a rewarding hourly rate!

The successful Senior Research Data Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Apply appropriate quantitative, statistical and analytical methods to identify patterns, trends, risks, opportunities and limitations in data.
• Develop fit-for-purpose datasets, data models, measures and indicators to support monitoring, reporting, research, evaluation and performance analysis.
• Prepare clear analytical products, including reports, dashboards, briefs, visualisations and presentations, that translate data into practical insights for technical and non-technical audiences.

The successful Senior Research Data Analyst will have experience in the following:

• Undertaking data analysis, reporting, research or evaluation activities, including the application of quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, prepare, analyse and interpret information from multiple sources.
• Ability to develop and maintain datasets, data models, measures, indicators or other analytical products that support evidence-informed decision-making.
