Position: Chef

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Blackall QLD 4472

Our client is seeking a skilled Chef to join their team in Blackall, Queensland.

The Chef oversees daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, menu development, staff supervision, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Maintain professionalism during busy or challenging periods
• Operate under the instructions of the head chef
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistent high standard
• Communicating with other kitchen staff and relaying orders
• Support the back of house team to ensure a smooth operation of kitchen
• Manage and prepare ingredients for your section, ensuring proper storage and handling to maintain freshness and quality.
• Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards.

Requirements:

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in relevant field
• At least three (3) years of experience as cook or chef
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP requirements.
• Skilled in managing high-volume service and maintaining cost efficiency.
• Effective leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.
