Assistant Accountant

  • $90,000 - $100,000 + super | Chatswood - 2 days' WFH once trained

This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Accountant who enjoys a hands-on role and is looking to further develop their skills across accounts receivable, billing, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review and process high-volume billings and invoicing
  • Support AR activities including reconciliations, cash collection, and credit control
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and account disputes
  • Daily and monthly reconciliations including bank, general ledger, balance sheet, clearing and cash receipt accounts
  • Support month-end close activities including journals, variance analysis and monthly reporting
  • Process AP invoices and assist with payment runs
  • Provide responsive, high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in AR, credit control, revenue management, accounting support or a similar finance role
  • Experience within aged care, healthcare or an NFP
  • Working towards or intending to commence CPA / CA
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer service focus and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Positive, professional and team-oriented approach
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work collaboratively
