Lead Engineer

Then this role is for you. You will bring experience building scalable cloud-native solutions, leveraging agentic AI, and ideally a strong Fintech, banking, or product background.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing, building and delivering Java cloud applications, with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot and relational databases
• Hands-on experience building cloud-native, distributed systems on AWS and/or GCP
• Strong grasp of microservices and service-oriented architecture, and the ability to design systems that scale and stay resilient
• Working knowledge of containers, APIs, SQL/NoSQL, event streaming, TDD, Continuous Delivery and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Experience with AI-assisted and agentic development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or Gemini CLI
• A track record of delivering high-performing, maintainable systems in complex environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience mentoring and developing engineers
• An understanding of security, privacy, regulatory requirements and technology lifecycle management

Role

• Lead the technical execution and delivery of projects and strategic initiatives across the wealth platform
• Own delivery from start to finish, from architecture and design through to production deployment and keeping systems running reliably
• Work with engineers, product managers and business analysts to set priorities and manage dependencies and risks
• Make the key technical design decisions and write code for critical components and proofs of concept
• Own platform reliability, including key risk indicators (KRIs), service level objectives (SLOs), incident management and root cause analysis
• Push for high engineering standards across the team
• Mentor engineers through coaching, feedback and knowledge sharing
