Your New CompanyHays Trades & Labour is partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing Canberra-based trade services provider. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Manager to establish and lead a residential electrical division. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced electrician looking to transition into a senior leadership role while remaining closely connected to the industry.
Your New RoleAs the Electrical Manager, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing residential electrical team while overseeing the growth and success of the division. Your duties will include:

  • Building, leading and mentoring electricians and apprentices
  • Establishing systems and processes for a growing electrical department
  • Providing technical advice and operational support when required
  • Reviewing quotes, job reports and completed works
  • Assisting with scheduling and resource planning
  • Visiting sites to resolve technical issues and support field staff
  • Developing team capability and driving performance
  • Building strong client relationships and ensuring exceptional customer service
  • Promoting a positive culture focused on safety, quality and professionalism

What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current unrestricted Electrical Licence
  • Extensive experience within residential electrical services
  • Previous leadership, management or business-building experience
  • Strong ability to mentor and develop tradespeople and apprentices
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Commitment to delivering quality workmanship and high customer satisfaction
