Your new company
This established healthcare organisation operates medical centres focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centred services. It is seeking an experienced Business Manager to oversee the efficient operation and commercial performance of one of its centres while supporting healthcare professionals and centre employees.
Your new role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will take responsibility for the financial, operational and people performance of the medical centre. You will lead both clinical and non-clinical teams, establish clear performance expectations and ensure the centre achieves its financial and service objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the centres budget, operating costs and profit and loss performance
- Establishing KPIs aligned with financial targets and centre strategy
- Identifying opportunities to increase revenue and improve cost efficiency
- Developing business cases and implementing business development initiatives
- Leading recruitment, workforce planning, rostering and employee development
- Coaching clinical and non-clinical employees on operational and compliance matters
- Improving patient experience across reception, facilities and service delivery
- Managing property, facilities, purchasing and inventory requirements
- Implementing operational strategies, systems and continual improvement initiatives
- Supporting risk reporting and implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies
- Ensuring adherence to workplace health and safety requirements
- Building productive relationships with healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced operational leader with a strong record of managing commercially successful businesses. Previous exposure to the healthcare sector would be highly regarded, together with experience improving customer or patient experience and working with employees and independent contractors.
You will also demonstrate:
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Experience managing budgets and profit and loss performance
- Exceptional leadership, mentoring and coaching capability
- Strong planning, strategy execution and project delivery skills
- Experience leading operational improvement and organisational change
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Strong communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
- The ability to analyse data and translate insights into practical actions
- A degree qualification in business, management or a related discipline.
