An established and highly regarded commercial construction company is seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to join their team on a 2–3 month contract basis.
Specialising in refurbishment, fit-out and small works projects across the commercial and education sectors, this contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects and maintaining long-term client relationships.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their project management experience while remaining hands-on across contract administration, project coordination and delivery.
The Role Working closely with senior project staff, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the delivery of refurbishment and fit-out projects
- Managing multiple small works projects simultaneously
- Contract administration and project documentation
- Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Reviewing and processing variations, progress claims and invoices
- Coordinating subcontractors, consultants and stakeholders
- Monitoring project programmes, budgets and quality outcomes
- Supporting site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently
- Client liaison and regular project reporting
About You To be successful in this position, you will ideally possess:
- 3–6 years' experience in a Contract Administrator, Project Coordinator or Junior Project Manager role
- Experience working on commercial fit-out, refurbishment, education or building projects
- Sound understanding of construction contracts and project administration
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Building, Engineering or similar
- Knowledge of Procore, Jobpac, Hammertech or similar project management platforms will be advantageous
