Our Melbourne Ground Engineering team is growing, and we're looking for both Geotechnical Engineers and Associate Geotechnical Engineers to join our Tunnel and Ground Engineering (TGE) team.

Reporting to the Section Leader - Tunnel and Ground Engineering, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to major Transport, Water and Power projects, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients.

In these roles, you'll be involved in all stages of project delivery, from bids and site investigation planning through to design development and construction support. You'll apply your geotechnical expertise across a diverse range of projects including highways, bridges, tunnels, deep excavations, retaining structures, slope stability assessments and ground improvement works.

What you'll do

  • Plan, coordinate and undertake geotechnical site investigations
  • Interpret geotechnical and geological data
  • Carry out soil and rock mechanics assessments and analyses
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications and design documentation
  • Support project delivery across transport, water, energy and infrastructure sectors
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, environmental specialists, hydrologists and other technical disciplines
  • Contribute to bids, proposals and client engagement activities
  • Champion safe, sustainable and high-quality project outcomes

For those joining at the Associate level, you'll also play a key role in:

  • Leading technical delivery on complex projects
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to graduate and early-career engineers
  • Supporting project management, commercial performance and client relationships
  • Contributing to the growth and capability of the Melbourne Ground Engineering team
