Your New CompanyJoin a leading resources organisation delivering some of Australia's most significant capital projects. Working within a high-performing Project Controls and Analysis team, you will play a key role in supporting major assets and providing the insights required to drive strategic decision-making, portfolio performance, and project outcomes across a complex project environment.

Your New RoleAs the Principal Portfolio & Analysis, you will provide portfolio analysis, forecasting, reporting, and planning support across multiple asset portfolios. Reporting to the Lead of Project Controls and Analysis, you will deliver forward-looking insights that enable informed business decisions and drive portfolio performance.Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading monthly portfolio reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Supporting cash prioritisation and budget planning activities, including annual budgets and long-term outlooks.
  • Monitoring and analysing CAPEX and OPEX portfolio performance.
  • Developing and implementing project and portfolio performance metrics.
  • Identifying portfolio risks, variances, and emerging trends, and communicating insights to key stakeholders.
  • Coordinating and optimising portfolio management systems and reporting tools.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and best practice project controls processes.
  • Providing strategic portfolio insights to support business planning and operational decision-making.

What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Extensive experience in a Project Controls & Analysis (PC&A) or Portfolio Controls environment, ideally within mining, resources, infrastructure, or major capital projects.
  • Strong expertise in project cost control, forecasting, budgeting, and portfolio reporting.
  • Demonstrated success delivering value through effective project controls leadership.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Experience working with portfolio management systems and project controls tools.
  • A sound understanding of project and portfolio risks, interdependencies, scheduling, and critical path principles.
  • The ability to provide strategic insights while maintaining a strong focus on data quality and performance outcomes.
