Your voice matters! Help shape a space for mob

• Passionate about wellbeing?
• Aged 16-25?
• Know the Cannington area?

Join our Youth Reference Group and share your ideas, give feedback, and help improve services for young people at headspace Cannington! We especially want to hear from Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people.

Your ideas matter! It is a voluntary role, though you will be paid $50 for each two-hour monthly meeting you attend.

Have a yarn with us:

• Call 9358 9800
• Email reception@headspacecannington.com.au
• Or go to this Google Form to let us know you're interested

We are committed to making a culturally safe, welcoming space for mob. We acknowledge we are working on Whadjuk Noongar boodja near Djarlgarra. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and recognise the the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in continuing cultural, spiritual, custodial, and educational practices. Always was, always will be.

What would I do on the Youth Reference Group?

It is a voluntary role and you'd come to help at events you're interested in like stalls about headspace, wellbeing workshops at schools, & social groups. It's a two-way street: We pay our Youth Reference Group members $50 for each monthly two-hour meeting they attend and organise training opportunities.

What would I have a say in?

• How the centre looks and feels
• Our events e.g., recent events paint & sip bubble tea, self-defence & bouldering were deadly YRG ideas!
• Social media and flyers
• Who we employ
• Sharing issues affecting young people
• And more!

What do you ask about if I'm interested?

We ask some basic details, contact information, your skills, experience, and ideas. We ask about who you are and your experiences as we value diversity and lived experience and want to represent the community. Please note that some of your responses/answers may be shared with current YRG members.
