Quarry Manager / Restricted Quarry Manager - Christmas Island

• ASAP start - flexible 3-5 week short-term contract
• 10-hour days, Monday to Saturday with Sundays off
• Quarry Manager or Restricted Quarry Manager certificate required

Skillforce Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Quarry Manager or Restricted Quarry Manager for a short-term assignment with an established mining operation on Christmas Island.

This is an ASAP requirement for approximately 3-5 weeks, with flexibility around working dates. Candidates may complete the full assignment in one swing or return home during the placement and mobilise back to site.
You will be working 10-hour days, Monday to Saturday, with Sundays off.
Duties will include:

• Overseeing day-to-day quarry and mining operations
• Providing operational and statutory leadership across site
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with site requirements
• Supervising and supporting operational personnel
• Monitoring production and operational activities
• Working closely with site management to maintain safe and efficient operations
• Ensuring compliance with relevant safety and legislative requirements

To be successful, you will require:

• Current WA Quarry Manager or Restricted Quarry Manager Certificate
• Previous experience within quarrying, mining or open-pit operations
• Strong knowledge of mining and quarry safety requirements
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience
• Ability to work autonomously within an established operation
• Ability to mobilise at short notice
• Ability to complete a basic medical and LabDAS
