We are currently seeking a Resource Recovery Attendant for an immediate start at the Emerald Transfer Station through to November 2026. This hands-on role will see you assisting members of the public, directing customers to safely unload waste and recyclable materials, sorting recyclables and maintaining a clean, safe and efficient site.You will also be responsible for operating compactors and other waste management equipment, with opportunities to drive and operate plant machinery as required. This position suits someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating machinery and interacting with the public in a customer-focused environment.What you'll need to succeed
Valid Driver's Licence (essential)
White Card (essential)
Experience operating machinery, plant or equipment
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to perform physical and hands-on work
Reliable and safety-focused work ethic
Previous experience in waste management, civil construction, quarry operations or plant operation
