About the Role
The school is seeking a qualified Secondary Humanities Teacher to join their team on a full-time, fixed-term basis, commencing in Term 1, 2027, covering a maternity leave position throughout 2027.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching Humanities across Years 7–12
- Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across subjects such as History, Geography, and related disciplines
- Planning and implementing differentiated learning to support a diverse range of learners
- Supporting students in developing critical thinking, research, and analytical skills
- Preparing students for assessments in line with curriculum requirements
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and academically focused classroom environment
- Contributing to faculty planning, moderation, and curriculum development
- Participating in school activities and the broader college community
This role would suit an educator with experience teaching Humanities across secondary levels, ideally with a background in History.
Location: Melbourne, VIC (South-Eastern Suburbs)

Requirements
- Secondary teaching qualification (B.Ed, M.Teach, PGCE or equivalent)
- VIT registration or eligibility to obtain
- Experience teaching Humanities across secondary year levels
- Background in History (highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of the Victorian Curriculum
- Ability to engage and inspire students across a range of abilities
- Commitment to academic excellence and student wellbeing
- Two professional child-related referees
