Cook

Autentici Pizza e Gelato is a family-owned Italian dining business in North Fremantle, focused on quality ingredients and authentic flavours. We are looking for a Cook to prepare consistently high-quality food and contribute to an organised and efficient kitchen service.
The right applicant will be responsible for:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to the restaurant’s recipes and presentation standards.
• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings and other ingredients for daily service.
• Complete mise en place and organise workstations before each service.
• Operate ovens and other kitchen equipment, monitoring cooking times and temperatures.
• Check the freshness and quality of ingredients and finished dishes.
• Maintain consistent portion sizes, flavour and presentation.
• Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to prepare orders accurately and on time.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, storing ingredients and rotating stock.
• Monitor ingredient use and minimise food waste.
• Maintain clean and organised food preparation areas, utensils and equipment.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Assist with kitchen opening and closing duties.

About you:

• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Cook;
• Experience preparing Italian cuisine and pizza would be highly regarded;
• Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods;
• Good knowledge of food preparation, safe food handling and kitchen hygiene;
• Strong teamwork, organisational skills and attention to detail.
