JRD UNIT TRUST trading as Mean Bean Diner & Shell Bullsbrook is seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our team in Bullsbrook, Western Australia.

Location: Bullsbrook, WA

Position: Full-Time Chef

Salary: $76,515 – $80,000 per annum plus superannuation

Hours: Minimum 38 hours per week

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Chef to manage kitchen operations and prepare high-quality meals for our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining food quality standards, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning and developing menus in consultation with management
• Preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of meals to a high standard
• Monitoring food preparation and portion control
• Ordering, receiving and managing stock and kitchen supplies
• Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
• Supervising and training kitchen staff
• Managing kitchen operations during service periods
• Assisting with cost control and minimising food wastage
• Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment

Essential Requirements

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Chef
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
