About the role:

Reporting to the Principal Property Officer, you will be responsible for administering the construction, modification, major renovations and/or repairs and maintenance of customer properties (including the management of external consultants). You may also be required to provide guidance and support to co-workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor construction projects from the office, ensuring alignment with project plans and objectives.
  • Track project timelines, budgets, and milestones.
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain progress.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Manage external service providers to meet the needs of our customers, having regard to their disabilities.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for project updates.
  • Support procurement and contract administration processes.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in construction and understanding/interpreting to provide advice on residential building plans and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Systems savvy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to maintain sensitivity, discretion and a professional manner in handling difficult enquiries and issues

Desirable:

  • Experience working on government or public infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
  • Builders Licence is preferred.
